Our last “Setting the Table” liturgy will be on Sunday, November 24th. On this Sunday before Thanksgiving, we’ll give thanks together during an Agape Meal. The early church began the practice of Agape Meals, where they’d get together to eat, pray, fellowship, sing and partake in the Eucharist. So on these nights, that’s what our liturgy looks like. The majority of our night will be spent eating together and talking. Then Richard will lead us in music, and Sam into communion.
These are always meaningful times for our community. These meals are potluck style, so we hope you’ll bring a dish to share, and a thankful celebratory spirit, as we observe this feast together.
